Bloggers Tour Steaz at Whole Foods
Early this month, I had the privilege of hanging out with some smart women and bloggers from Silver Spring, Maryland. As we've mentioned on our blog before, we've been doing our best to reach out to bloggers, and women bloggers, in particular, to become a part of the health and wellness conversation in the blogging community.

The first time I did one of these all-female blogging events, I have to admit, I was a little nervous and unsure of what to expect! Clearly, I was going to be outnumbered and these were articulate, accomplished women with something to say. But now, after a few events, I've witnessed just how welcoming and open they are to companies with a sincere interest in offering healthy food and drink alternatives to their families. Oftentimes after these events, the bloggers don't want to leave! They keep chatting away with one another. To me, that's a great way to determine the event's success and I've really enjoyed my time spent with them.
Our Maryland event was held at the Whole Foods in Silver Spring. The women and I took a tour around the store with special stops at the multiple Steaz locations. Afterwards, we enjoyed some Steaz and appetisers. I spoke about my personal background in the natural foods business, my mom's 'organic' influence on the Steaz brand and how our company has evolved over the years.

Many thanks to Melanie at Whole Foods Silver Spring and to our event host, Leticia, of Tech Savvy Mama. And we'd also like to give a shout out to our amazing bloggers who attended: Lynette at PicPocketBooks, Jill at Musings from Me, Amy at Teach Mama, Stacey at FOODe, Jean at Stimeyland, Jodi at Jodifur, Nyasha at Mama Law and Janine at Twofer Mom.

- Tech Savvy MamaIt was so great for you to come for a visit especially since after hearing so many things about you from Kim! She had introduced me to Steaz at Blogalicious in October and I was a convert so it was fun to hear your stories about the company's early days and the inside scoop on your wonderful products. Thanks so much!April 13, 2010
