When we set out to create a short film representing what SOUL means to Steaz and our fans we realized this idea was the broadest and therefore the most difficult to convey. The SOUL of our company is the philosophy of providing a better way for people to enjoy life, protecting our beloved planet and being responsible and generous with the money we earn. But this is different for everyone, so we decided to focus on a journey:
Where do you find SOUL?
Soul is everywhere, but it's hard to define. It's the clear place at the centre of it all. It's also the grit, the passion, the deep emotion of living. You got soul. We all do. How do you define it? And where do you find it?
To capture the essence of SOUL and the beauty and power of the ocean we put our trust into Russell Brownley (we introduced him in Behind the Scenes: MIND post) and boy did he deliver! "Being and avid surfer, I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel the world, surfing some of the best waves that I had only dreamed about in my younger years. I have realized that surfing has been given to me as a tool to get the farthest reaches of the Earth." It's pretty clear what Russell's journey is all about!
The other key member of the SOUL shoot was obviously our surfer. Ryan lives and breathes the steaz values of protecting this planet, living a good life and having fun while doing it. He also happens to be one of the nicest human beings we have ever met!

This shoot may have been one of the most challenging but it was also one of the most rewarding - thank you to everyone who was involved in creating this beauty and to all of our fans who took the time to watch it.
