Whole Planet Foundation Supporter

As most of you know, we are very proud of the integrity that anchors our products. For us, this goes beyond the fact that Steaz tastes great and is made with the best quality organic ingredients, our products are also Fair Trade certified.  This means our teas are procured from tea estates that pay their farmers FAIR wages and provide these workers with FAIR working conditions.

We have also developed a strong relationship with Whole Foods Market, who not only supports us in their stores but also in helping guide us in the world of social responsibility.

In October of last year we announced that we would donate a percentage of every Steaz beverage purchased in one of the 300+ Whole Foods Market locations to the Whole Planet Foundation. We plan to donate $15,000 over the next year! This will impact 665 lives around the world.

The Whole Planet Foundation provides grants to microfinance institutions in poor communities where the grocer sources products.  Their goal is to fund poverty alleviation in 60 countries by the end of 2012!

Without you, our loyal Steazers, this partnership would not exist. We value "providing a better way" well into the future and sincerely thank you for supporting us and all that we do globally. So crack open a Steaz, enjoy the best that Mother Nature has to offer - and know that you are doing your part to make this a healthier, better world.

Tell us, did you learn anything new about Steaz this month?

What does Steaz mean to you?

The essence of Steaz is that it allows you to discover a better way that is "good for the mind, body and soul". This is our heartbeat.

Whatever happened to doing things right? When did we stop thinking about the implications of ill mass produced products on our society and our planet?

Steaz is different. Steaz is a better alternative.

The Steaz flower is our visual expression of this, of the connections that life weaves through all of us. Yep - welcome to the modern-day version of Flower Power!

Our logo represents 12 tea leaves. For us, the intertwined leaves represent the harmony between energy, humanity and spirituality while celebrating the power of the mind, body and soul.

Steaz is where good Karma meets good for you.

Where eastern culture meets the creative.

Where carbon neutral meets positive influence.

Where great taste meets healthy lifestyles.

And where the right way meets the better way.

In one word, or one phrase, what does Steaz mean to you?

Want a free case of the good stuff?  Simple. All you have to do is tell us what Steaz means to you in the comments and fill out this form

Goals from Team USA Athlete

Hello Steazers!

We are fortunate enough to have amazing fans who are crazy about our products and are willing to share how they discovered a better way with Steaz.

Today, our guest blogger is an athlete in every sense of the word, her credentials include being a member of Team USA Duathlon, APS Athlete, Division 1 NCAA All-American Track and Field, Olympic Festival Member and 2 time USA Track and Field Trials Qualifier. Wow!

Two weeks ago we asked our fans to share their 2012 goals and below, our guest blogging athlete shares her ambitious ones too. Need a kick in the butt, some motivation and some free Steaz? Look no further than here.

Steazers, meet Cheryl Fairweather!

As 2012 starts many of us begin to focus on our goals, particularly those related to fitness. I plan on taking my fitness to a place that’s beyond my physical appearance and focus more on the mental conditioning of the whole mind, body, spirit, and of course my environment.

I set three ambitious goals this year:

1. Return as a member of the Team USA ITU World Duathlon Team

2. Compete as a 2012 USA Cyclist and set myself up to go pro

       (insert drum roll here..........)

3. Qualify for the 2012 USA Track and Field Olympic Trials

Told you they were ambitious :)

I’ve decided that fit levels are individual, so my measurements will be based upon the mental mindset that “I want to achieve this, then I will work hard at it”.

These are your goals, do not give up on them
in the midst of trouble or the appearance of failure.

Fitness is a mental battle, a barrier many of us have to overcome. And athletes are no different than people desiring a healthier lifestyle. We both have to focus on something and disregard the negative in the process. Whether your goal is to run a 5k, lose some weight, or make healthier food choices, you still have to overcome the thoughts that go against your desire to achieve the goals you’ve put in place.

Aren’t all goals designed to push you beyond what you did the year before? Of course they are! That’s the thing about goals, once you set them you have to turn on that inner engine that says go! go! go! go! and once that motors running, never hit the brakes, and never let anyone else drive your ambition!

Never let go of the commitment that was in your heart
when you first wrote down your goals.

Everyday people all across the world set out to do great things, everyday people start the year with their goals, and everyday someone checks: accomplished.  The thing about goal setting is:

You have to attempt it in order to know if you’ll reach it.

2012 is the year of getting out of the “I wish I had done this” or “ I really should have tried that”. That’s just it! Once you stop thinking about the possible failure, you’ll allow yourself to see the wonderful results and strides you made along the way :)

Okay by now, it’s official...I’m ambitious! I just can’t seem to be a part of something and not go for it all. Obviously, there’s going to be some major changes in my personal life. One thing I’m happy I don’t have to change is my use and love for Steaz!

Steaz Energy drinks gives me the energy I need and it doesn’t interfere with my healthy mental state, lifestyle, or environment! You have no idea how excited I am about Steaz! Oh and the cute little energy shots are so portable! Ask me how I know? I run with them in my jersey! Yep Ladies and Gentleman you will find Steaz in my sports bottle, my jersey, and I even keep an extra in my transition bag just in case. This my friends, is 100 % true!

I’m really happy to be reaping the benefits of the commitment Steaz made when they set their goals in the beginning of their establishment. Those very goals are seen as accomplishments every time someone picks up a clean fuel solution packed in a beautiful Steaz bottle. I know I’ll be using them quite a bit during my quest to accomplish my 2012 goals!

I truly hope as you set out to accomplish your goals this year, you will look at the impact of everything in your life. You need your body to accomplish your goals so take care of every aspect of it in 2012. And remember, achievements are goals you set in the future for you to say:

I set it...I did it…I completed it...I accomplished it!

Get Outdoors, Breath Some Fresh Air and Work Up a Sweat!

In last week’s blog we asked Steaz fans to share their New Year’s goals with us for a chance to win a very steazy gift bag. Susan, who won, has an ambitious 2012 goal: to complete her 2nd century bike ride and to lose 10 pounds. And many others shared similar ambitions - we have quite the active group! Almost everyone who shared their goals wanted to increase their daily activity with yoga, skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, or running - 5k, ½ marathon and even to run 3 full marathons this year! Go Steazers!

One of the most picturesque (and motivating) places in the United States to get outdoors and workout is sunny California. Known for the surf culture, theme parks, wine and of course beaches!

Torrey Pines is located within the San Diego city limits, yet still remains some of the wildest stretches of land on the SoCal coastline. The flat sand, rolling grass hills and steep staircases make it a runner’s paradise.

La Jolla is known for it’s beautiful natural scenery and abundant wildlife - including dolphins and seals. The turquoise water and sandy slopes make it the ideal backdrop for a quiet walk or some relaxing yoga.

Mission Beach has everything from picnic benches to amusement parks. A boardwalk runs along the beaches on both the ocean and bay sides of the community and is a perfect spot for beach volleyball, basketball and surfing.

The original Muscle Beach offers Santa Monica locals more than just shopping. South of the infamous pier now has a refurbished training area for gymnasts and bodybuilders alike.

And these are only a few of the wonderful places that California has to offer. Tell us: What are YOUR favorite spots to get outdoors, breath some fresh air and work up a sweat?
