Earth Day
How do you plan to commemorate Earth Day?
Steaz is getting together for a beach crawl bike ride along the South Bay boardwalk to promote a healthy, active and steazy lifestyle - and of course to pass out free Steaz!
Rocking out on our electric bikes from the izip store, on April 22nd the Steaz team will be at the following locations to interact with beachgoers:
Santa Monica: Pier and 3rd Street Promenade: 12pm-2pm
Venice Beach Boardwalk: 2:30pm-3:30pm
Manhattan Beach: 4pm-6pm
For updates throughout the day visit Steaz on Facebook and Twitter.
Come celebrate Earth Day with us!
Get Outdoors, Breath Some Fresh Air and Work Up a Sweat!
In last week’s blog we asked Steaz fans to share their New Year’s goals with us for a chance to win a very steazy gift bag. Susan, who won, has an ambitious 2012 goal: to complete her 2nd century bike ride and to lose 10 pounds. And many others shared similar ambitions - we have quite the active group! Almost everyone who shared their goals wanted to increase their daily activity with yoga, skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, or running - 5k, ½ marathon and even to run 3 full marathons this year! Go Steazers!
One of the most picturesque (and motivating) places in the United States to get outdoors and workout is sunny California. Known for the surf culture, theme parks, wine and of course beaches!
Torrey Pines is located within the San Diego city limits, yet still remains some of the wildest stretches of land on the SoCal coastline. The flat sand, rolling grass hills and steep staircases make it a runner’s paradise.
La Jolla is known for it’s beautiful natural scenery and abundant wildlife - including dolphins and seals. The turquoise water and sandy slopes make it the ideal backdrop for a quiet walk or some relaxing yoga.
Mission Beach has everything from picnic benches to amusement parks. A boardwalk runs along the beaches on both the ocean and bay sides of the community and is a perfect spot for beach volleyball, basketball and surfing.
The original Muscle Beach offers Santa Monica locals more than just shopping. South of the infamous pier now has a refurbished training area for gymnasts and bodybuilders alike.
And these are only a few of the wonderful places that California has to offer. Tell us: What are YOUR favorite spots to get outdoors, breath some fresh air and work up a sweat?
