Behind the Scenes: BODY
When we set out to create a short film representing what BODY means to Steaz and our fans we started by thinking about organic and fair trade ingredients and how they affect our bodies. What you put in your body directly affects how you move, feel and experience the outside world.
Our bodies walk, talk, move, breathe, and dance. We stretch, leap, jump, and sprint. We feel, smell, taste, hear, and see. These bodies of ours are pretty miraculous.
To capture the essence of everything that our body's can do we looked for an athlete to encompass this. Meet Sarah Clark.

The first time we meet Sarah we knew she was our girl. Her bubbly personality and positive attitude are infectious and she truly believes that putting the purist ingredients into her body helps her live a more balanced life. She describes herself as a "mindful foodie". Sarah has been practicing and teaching yoga for the past 10 years and knows a few things about living a clean and balanced life.
We put her body to the test! For countless hours we had her running up and down the cliffs at Torrey Pines, holding Natarajasana at La Jolla and chasing Kam around the farmer's market in San Diego.

Sarah was interested in exploring commercial work as long as "it is for a company who is committed to more than just hoarding profit." She jumped, literally, at the chance to work with Steaz. Check out Sarah in the MIND video:
How do you honor your body, day after day?

Behind the Scenes: MIND
Mind, Body and Soul stems from our 3 core values of People, Planet and Profits. By staying grounded in the philosophy of providing a better way for people to enjoy life, protecting our beloved planet and being responsible and generous with the money we earn, we in turn are helping to create a more harmonious, balanced and positive environment that is good for the Mind, Body and Soul.
When we set out to create a cinematic representation of what MIND means to Steaz and our fans we started with one big idea: we use our minds to find responsible ways to source ingredients and offset our carbon footprint. As we developed the idea we expanded upon this and considered: What inspires our mind? From music that gives you chills to the idea that changes everything, from books that deliver the goods to serious do-gooders, the mind is a very powerful thing.

To really capture what we felt MIND meant to Steaz as a community, we turned to someone who felt the same way we did. We worked with an amazing crew lead by Russell Brownley to shoot all three short films. Russell's goal in filming is about documenting the world as he sees it. "It's about bringing the stories of those who have affected my being to life."
Sounds like the perfect guy for Steaz right?

Filming is Russell's big idea, what inspires his MIND and most of all - it's his Steaz. "Everyone wants to change the world...I am hoping for me, this is a start."
The MIND is a powerful thing. We want to know: how do you keep yours fresh, alive, and inspired? In other words, what's your big idea?
Show us at www.mysteaz.com for your chance to win $5000 to make that big idea a reality and $5000 to support a charity's.
